App Factory ("we", "our", or "us") operates the factoryapp.dev website and provides an AI-powered pipeline for generating mobile applications. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website and services.

App Factory is primarily a local development tool. The CLI runs entirely on your machine, and generated applications remain on your local filesystem. This website provides documentation, account management, and optional cloud features for tracking your builds and saving favorites.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address (for email/password authentication)
  • GitHub profile information if you authenticate via GitHub OAuth (username, email, avatar URL)
  • Display name (if you choose to set one)

Usage Data

When you use the authenticated dashboard, we store:

  • Favorited app ideas (names, slugs, notes you add)
  • Build run history (idea names, timestamps, status)
  • Connected GitHub repository references (repository names only, not code)

Technical Data

We automatically collect standard web analytics data:

  • IP address (anonymized where possible)
  • Browser type and version
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Referring website

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain your account

Supabase

We use Supabase for authentication and database storage. Supabase stores your account data and usage data on secure servers. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.

GitHub

If you sign in with GitHub, we receive your public profile information and email address from GitHub's OAuth service. We can list your public repositories (read-only) if you use the repository connection feature. We do not write to your repositories or access private repository content. Vercel

This website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect technical data for security and performance monitoring. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and local storage for:

  • Authentication: Session cookies to keep you signed in

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

Build run history and favorites are deleted when you delete your account or when you manually remove them.
